Harrington Concrete & Quarries has available an extensive range of Sand & Gravel, ReadyMix Concrete and Precast Concrete products for the Building, Agricultural and Gardening Sectors:

Natural Stone Products:

• Washed and Polished Pea Gravel and Natural Stone Pebbles, Graded and Bagged, Size Range 6mm to 40mm

Washed Sands:

• Concrete Sand - course sand for the most part 5mm grain size and below
• Building Sand - medium sand for the most part 3mm grain size and below
• Plastering Sand - a fine sand predominantly less than 3mm
• Dead Sand - a very fine sand predominantly less than 1mm

Washed Concrete Aggregate Mix

Our sand and gravel is sourced from a natural glacial deposit. After extraction, they are screened and washed several times to give a top quality raw materials which is then blended to give a Concrete Aggregate Mix. The material is tested to ensure compliance with EN 12620 : 2002 (Aggregates Concrete) and EN 13139: 2002 (Aggregates for Mortar).

Our RMC is produced, tested and certified to standard EN-206-1 (Concrete-Part 1: Specification, Performance, Production and Conformity)

We can supply RMC to Compressive Strength Classes C8/10 (aka 10N) up to and including C100/115 (aka 115N) to your required Aggregate size and Slump specifications.

Concrete Blocks:

Our Concrete Blocks range is manufactured using ReadyMix Concrete compliant to EN-206-1 (Concrete-Part 1: Specification, Performance, Production and Conformity).

As a raw material for our RMC, our aggregates are tested to ensure compliance with EN 13242 : 2002 (Aggregates for Unbound & Hydraulically Bound Materials).

Traffic Management System

In addition the availability of the traditional quarried Limestone Boulder, our Concrete Traffic Management Bollards add an ease of loading and placement. The standard unit weighs approx 1600kg, complete with interlocking upper and lower faces, and either an integrated lifting eye, or forklift lifting slots. Dimensions approx. 1.4 x 0.7 x 0.7m (length x width x height).

A half size Concrete Traffic Management Bollard unit is available in the range with a single forklift lifting slot. Dimensions approx. 0.7 x 0.7 x 0.7m (length x width x height), approx weight 800kg.

The Harrington name has been synonymous with the Sand & Gravel business for over 50 years. The Company has completed many major civil engineering contracts, including the distinction of being the main contractor for the construction of Horan International Airport Knock, now known as Ireland West Airport Knock.
